Probably the biggest advantage to working with a mortgage adviser rather than a lender direct, is the range of lending products that a mortgage adviser has access to. A mortgage adviser is not limited to just one or two lenders or financial products, but instead works with a panel of bank and non-bank lenders offering you a much broader pool of lenders to choose from.

A mortgage adviser will shop around on your behalf and recommend the financial product most suited to your needs. And, because they’re experienced at finding a tailored solution for each client, they’ll almost certainly have access to something that will fit your unique situation.

They’ll work with you to understand your financial goals, help explain the various options that may be available to you, and even help put together the paperwork when it comes time to apply for pre-approval or a home loan, ensuring a more successful outcome.

Mortgage advisers are particularly helpful if you’re a first time home buyer and you don’t have the experience or understanding of the finance industry and the mortgage market.
